With its transparent colour and lovely taste, Borage (or as it is also called "starflower") is a single flower speciality honey. It is one of the best honeys you can hope to find, crystal clear, delicately flavoured and slow to granulate.

Our Borage honey has been grown at the Brakelands Farm Estate, near Banbury, Oxfordshire. Our bees love it too because Borage provides them with high levels of nectar and a bit of pollen too. Blue Borage was given the title “Happy Honey” by the Romans (who also called Britain “The Isle of Honey”). They believed that the Borage herb and Borage honey increased the blood flow to the brain and made them happy. Borage is a medicinal plant and is used in herbal, homeopathic and allopathic medicine to alleviate depression. As blue borage honey is very rich in antioxidants it is very beneficial for soothing colds, flus, sore throats, and for helping the skin and hair grow stronger and healthier.
