Reinventing Fear
To say that the ordeal to get the latest darling of the brewing industry Nectaron over to Polly’s HQ was worth the wait would be an understatement. This hop variety was nearly eight months in the ether before it finally landed with us due to its high demand, and we instantly understood why when we opened up the first bag on arrival. Almost too potent for its own good, we’ve learned with our limited usage of this hop up to now that it works nicely as a single hop beer, but absolutely sings from the heavens when paired up with a high-alpha hop – in the case of Reinventing Fear, a variety that has been interwoven throughout our existence in Citra. Positively bursting at the seams with punchy citrus notes of lime and lemon before a tidal wave of intense pineapple, passionfruit and stonefruit sweetness takes over the palate – a positively Polly’s IPA.
